In Crisis – Travel Retail Voices: Carolyn Mariani, Pivot305 Consulting

There’s something that’s goin’ round, that’s shutting our borders down
It’s a bad time for our sick and our old

Carolyn Mariani: The popular and much-respected travel retail and inflight sales specialist will now be helping other brands come to market

Welcome to In Crisis – Travel Retail Voices, our podcast series in which we speak to industry executives around the world to see how they and their businesses are coping with the COVID-19 crisis.

Today’s episode features Carolyn Mariani, a popular and much respected figure in the travel retail community, particularly in the inflight retail world. Until recently and for over 17 years Carolyn held several senior positions with 3Sixty Duty Free, formerly DFASS, latterly as Senior Vice President Marketing and Vendor Relations.

Before that she worked in the UK, both for Estée Lauder Travel Retail and earlier with Rakhita Jayawardena at inflight concessionaire Alpha OnBoard Sales and Services.

Now Carolyn has set up a new venture called Pivot305 Consulting, based out of South Florida. Martin Moodie caught up with her there by Zoom last week to find out what the new enterprise is all about.
