In Crisis – Travel Retail Voices: Paul & Shark Global Travel Retail Director Catherine Bonelli

Magnum force: What do Catherine Bonelli and Martin Moodie share in common with the company behind this French wine?

Welcome to In Crisis – Travel Retail Voices, our new podcast series where we speak to travel retail executives around the world to see how they and their businesses are coping with the COVID-19 crisis.

Today’s episode features Catherine Bonelli, the ebulllient and dynamic head of global travel retail at Italian fashion  house Paul & Shark. Catherine is currently in the north-central French region of Sologne, in a village named Vouzon, home to just 1,000 people.

Both Italy and France have been ravaged by the outbreak with nearly 81,000 and 31,000 confirmed cases respectively and Paul & Shark, which proudly promotes its ‘Made in Italy’ credentials, is caught up in this terrible human storm.

Martin Moodie spoke to Catherine earlier today, to find out what she was up to. Not surprisingly, given her humanitarian spirit, he discovered that it involved public service.

Listen to the Podcast to hear how Catherine is not only serving in a local pharmacy but also delivering meals to old people in the village – including, much to the delight of one man in particular, a drop or two of good French red wine produced by Peuch & Besse.
