As part of our information-sharing agreement with leading Chinese consumer platform Globuy and its sister company TripurX, The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to present the results of the annual Globuy Travel Retail Consumer Awards for 2020, the sector’s most ambitious consumer recognition programme.
For the second year, Globuy’s consumer-driven beauty awards has ranked the most popular beauty brands — broken down by 18 sub-sectors — on TripurX’s WeChat Mini Programme, which has over 10 million users. Globuy is the social media arm, while TripurX is the ecommerce arm of the Chinese digital travel retail platform.
Globuy, via The Moodie Davitt Report, is publishing the various sub-sectors’ results over recent and coming days.

Globuy, well-established in its mission to become ‘the KOL of Chinese travel retail,’ has 800,000 followers and an average monthly audience of 1.5 million views for its WeChat social media platform promoting new launches, product availability, promotions, and special offers.
The Globuy Travel Retail Consumer Awards 2020 recognise the most popular beauty products based on a series of criteria. These include the most consumer views on TripurX and the highest rankings on the TripurX e-shop platform’s Shopping Cart Index. TripurX is a sister company to Globuy and its e-shops cover multiple locations, including the travel retail hotspot of Hainan and many others.

The Estée Lauder Companies-owned beauty and fragrance house Tom Ford dominated the rankings for the eye shadow category on TripurX.
The brand’s Eye Colour Quad Palette No. 3 Body Heat was awarded the top spot, achieving a 99% score on the TripurX Shopping Cart Index.
Tom Ford’s Eye Colour Quad Palettes claimed five of the top ten most popular eyeshadows on TripurX. The finalists were selected from 347 eye shadow products on the TripurX platform.

Shiseido-owned Nars Cosmetics also dominated the top ten rankings for the blush category.
The Nars Orgasm Blush claimed the top spot and achieved a 99% Shopping Cart Index Score, while the brand’s Deep Throat, Taj Mahal, Sex Appeal, Hot Fix, and OrgasmX blushes took the second, third, fourth, sixth and eighth spots respectively. This means that Nars Cosmetics won six out of the top ten rankings for blushes.
