
INTERNATIONAL. Interest is surging in the inaugural Beauty Tech Live event that will (virtually) open its doors in less than a week on 12 April.
The all-digital event is hosted by The Moodie Davitt Report in partnership with leading B2B beauty title BW Confidential. Design and event curation is being managed by FILTR.Qingwa.
Beauty Tech Live is a pioneering virtual event that will showcase the joint worlds of beauty and technology. It is the first virtual expo of its kind in the sector, bringing together the latest tech innovations and solutions across all stakeholders in the beauty industry.
Almost 2,500 beauty and tech executives have registered to attend. Visitors will be able to meet with colleagues, network and also discover the latest beauty tech innovations from almost 30 leading companies in beauty, fragrance, skincare, cosmetics and wellbeing.

Orlandi
Orlandi is a sampling and retail solutions company specialising on fragrances, personal care and cosmetics products. At Beauty Tech Live, Orlandi will highlight its digital and direct-to-consumer services, tailor-made sampling programmes and connected solutions.
Perfumist
Perfumist is the world’s leading perfume tool. At Beauty Tech Live, it will showcase the new ‘Perfumist Online’ digital tool, which enables both online and offline retailers to enhance the perfume sales experience and empower fragrance advisors.
Perfect Corp
Perfect Corp leverages the latest augmented reality technology and artificial intelligence to enhance the beauty shopping experience and reinvent the consumer beauty journey. The company will showcase its leading-edge portfolio of beauty solutions including skincare diagnostic tools, virtual makeup technology and hair-colour and accessory try-ons at Beauty Tech Live. It will also lead a shop-tainment panel at the Knowledge Hub.

Kendu
Kendu offers fully-integrated retail services — including dynamic in-store experiences and innovative communications solutions — for retail companies. Its key business areas are experience design, strategy, technology ideation, space design and project execution.
Epteca
Epteca is a global marketplace ecosystem that brings together travel retail brands, providers and travellers. The Epteca platform creates new revenue streams and enhances the traveller experience at every point of their journey.
Les Parfumables
French innovation company Les Parfumables is showcasing its ‘CeraScent’ scenting technology, which accurately absorbs and diffuses perfume for a long period of time. Les Parfumables will also be highlighting its digital olfactive discovery tools and creative at-home fragrance experiences.
iM1NE
South-Korean private labelling company iM1NE will be highlighting its optimised iM1NE’s OEM/ODM solution systems at Beauty Tech Live.

Knowledge Hub Day 1
Alibaba Group TMall Global Beauty Managing Director Jun Dong will deliver the opening address on the first day of the Knowledge Hub. She will explore how brands can use TMall Global to expand their presence in China and maximise outreach with Chinese consumers.
L’Oréal Chief Digital Officer Lubomira Rochet will give an overview on how businesses can strategically build their ecommerce capabilities.

Rochet’s address will be followed by the ‘Travel Retail’s Tech Transformation’ panel, featuring Au Coeur du Luxe (ACDL) President Laurence Ouaknine, iClick Interactive Asia Limited VP International Business Cody Chan and CircleSquare Managing Partner Stéphane Zermatten.
Day one concludes with the ‘Shop-tainment: How to make shopping online fun’ panel, which will be led by Perfect Corp Europe AVP Business Development Sylvain Delteil. Delteil is joined by e.l.f. Beauty Chief Digital Officer Ekta Chopra and Charlotte Tilbury Director of Digital Harminder Matharu.
The Perfect Corp panel will teach brands how to boost sales through augmented reality and artificial intelligence services, virtual try-on and livestreaming.

Knowledge Hub Day 2
Day two of the Knowledge Hub programme begins with a keynote address from Puig Chief Operating Officer Javier Bach, who will share his insights on selling and experiencing fragrances online.
L’Occitane Group Sustainability Officer and Director of the L’Occitane en Provence Brand Adrien Geiger will discuss the role of stores in today’s digital landscape and touch on how businesses can use technology to advance their sustainability goals.
Geiger is followed by Palix Unlimited Founder Joël Palix who will lead a beauty panel on how brands can build online communities and manage direct-to-consumer distribution. Palix is joined by Rowse CEO & Co-Founder Gabriela Salord, Agora CEO & Co-Founder Riccardo Basile and Augustinus Bader Co-Founder Charles Rosier.


The theme of building social communities will be further explored by Tribe Dynamics Co-Founder and President Conor Begley, Summer Fridays Director of Marketing Blair Badge and Youth to the People Senior Social Media Manager Madeline Davis.
Begley, Badge and Davis make up a social media panel that will show businesses how to inspire creators and reach new audiences on popular short-video application TikTok. They will also highlight data-driven strategies and key insights to help brands stand-out on the fast-growing platform.

Knowledge Hub Day 3

Luxasia Group CEO Dr. Wolfgang Baier will deliver a keynote address to kick-off the Knowledge Hub agenda for day three of Beauty Tech Live.
In his address, Baier will share his insights on the future of omnichannel beauty.
The omnichannel theme will also be explored by A.S. Watson Group (ASW) Chief Operating Officer and A.S. Watson Asia & Europe Chief Executive Officer Malina Ngai, who will discuss how brands can boost the O2O Shopping experience through digital strategies.
Offering a more localised perspective, Grupo Boticário Vice President of Digital and Technology Daniel Knopfholz and Technology Director Renato Pedigoni will share their learnings about the Brazilian beauty ecommerce market.
Finally, senior executives from leading market research company The NPD Group will deliver key data and insights on the state of the beauty industry and highlight key ecommerce trends. They will also analyse how the ecommerce landscape will evolve in Europe, the US and China.
This panel of senior executives comprise The NPD Group Vice President and Beauty Industry Advisor Larissa Jensen, The NPD Group Director and Beauty Industry Analyst (Europe) Mathilde Lion, and The NPD Group Managing Director (APAC) Stanley Kee.

Knowledge Hub Day 4
Day four of the Knowledge Hub will open with a keynote address by Coty Chief Digital Officer Jean-Denis Mariani, who will share his thoughts on how beauty businesses can develop direct-to-consumer models.
Groupe Marie Claire and Marie Claire International will also host a panel discussion, which will explore how traditional media can help beauty brands boost online business. The panel comprises Groupe Marie Claire Managing Director Amalric Poncet, Marie Claire UK Ecommerce Director Emily Ferguson, Marie Claire UK Beauty & Style Director Lisa Oxenham and Marie Claire China Digital Director Fionn Feng.


To offer an outlook on the future, leading beauty forecasters, Light Years Founder and CEO Lucie Greene and The Future Laboratory Director Victoria Buchanan, will lead a panel that will explore the latest digital trends and emerging technologies in the beauty industry.
This will be followed with a panel on how brands can maximise livestreaming selling opportunities by live-shopping company Livescale.
The session will be led by Livescale Communications Madison Schill. She is joined by L’Oréal Canada Chief Marketing Officer Samantha Daude Di Nacera, Consonant Skin + Care Founder & President Bill Baker and Dermalogica Consumer Brand Manager Kyla Marsh.
The session will illustrate the power and data behind Live Shopping technology and showcase the beauty businesses that have successfully implemented live shopping solutions.
