Jun Dong is part of a stellar line-up of leading beauty tech industry figures to grace the Knowledge Hub of Beauty Tech Live (12-16 April)

INTERNATIONAL. Alibaba Group TMall Global Beauty Managing Director Jun Dong is the latest leading beauty industry figure to join the stellar speaker lineup for Beauty Tech Live, set for 12-16 April.

Dong joins Light Years Founder and CEO Lucie Greene, Coty Chief Digital Officer Jean-Denis Mariani, L’Oréal Group Chief Digital Officer Lubomira Rochet, and L’Occitane en Provence Group Sustainability Officer and Director Adrian Geiger.

Other speakers already named include Puig Chief Operating Officer Javier Bach, Luxasia Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Wolfgang Baier, and A.S. Watson Group (ASW) Chief Operating Officer and A.S. Dong has an impressive 16-year career in the beauty industry, with expertise in brand building in Asian markets and particularly in China. She specialises in beauty retail, upstream innovation, brand architecture, social and digital activations.

In her leadership role at Alibaba Group, Dong is responsible for leading TMall Global Beauty’s strategy development, store operations, digital marketing, customer relationship management and merchandising.

She was appointed Managing Director of TMall Global Beauty in 2018 and has helped drive TMall’s transformation into one of the leading beauty ecommerce platforms for China’s booming GenZ consumer demographic.

Prior to joining Alibaba Group, Dong worked at Procter & Gamble, where she held leadership positions across various beauty categories in Europe and Asia Pacific.

Beauty Tech Live is a pioneering virtual event that will showcase the joint worlds of beauty and technology. It is the first virtual expo of its kind in the sector, bringing together the latest tech innovations and solutions across all stakeholders in the beauty industry.

The event is being organised by the newly formed Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company in partnership with leading B2B beauty title BW Confidential.
