Italian liqueur brand Disaronno has revealed a new addition to its limited-edition Icon series.
In collaboration with Italian fashion house Missoni, the latest ‘designer’ bottle features a zigzag pattern, highlighted in Missoni’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Six mini bottles will be presented in gift packs, each containing three designs.
Disaronno’s partnership with the Icon project, now in its fifth year, will continue to support the charity Fashion 4 Development, sponsored by the United Nations. Previous partnerships with Italian fashion brands include Moschino, Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Etro. Illva Saronno, Disaronno’s brand owner, will donate part of the proceeds of sales to assist humanitarian efforts in Africa.
Disaronno said the Icon editions have proven successful in travel retail and the Missoni version has already been listed with retailers across the Americas, Europe and the Gulf, including Heinemann, Lagardère Travel Retail, Paradies Lagardère and Dubai Duty Free. The Missoni edition has also been listed with various cruise lines including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Holland America and Disney (on-premise).
The limited-edition bottle will be supported by high-visibility merchandising and in-store activations.
Disaronno International Sales Director Domenico Toni said: “All the Disaronno icon bottles have proved phenomenally successful in travel retail and we’re confident that the new Missoni version will be equally well received.
“We’ve secured some key airport listings already, particularly in the USA – including JFK, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Newark, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale – as well as numerous cruise and ferry lines including the Navi Costa and P&O Ferries.
“We’re looking forward to receiving both existing and new customers on our wonderful new terrace in Cannes (Bay Village B19) where they can see the new bottle and join us for signature cocktails throughout the week.”
The Disaronno Wears Missoni Sour cocktail, created for the limited edition, mixes Disaronno with lemon, grenadine and blue curaçao.
