Designer Disaronno: Roberto Cavalli limited-edition label released

Disaronno has teamed up with luxury brand Roberto Cavalli to create a limited-edition bottle, on show at this month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Stand: Red Village J1).

The bottle is the third in a series of limited editions and follows collaborations with Versace and Moschino as part of the Disaronno Icon project.

Inspired by the Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2015 Pre Collection and mimicking the designer’s style, the Disaronno bottle is draped in a new graphic animal print.

Disaronno described the bottle (estimated retail price US$26) as the “perfect gift for fashion-loving travellers”. Listed in key hubs across the Americas, Europe and the Gulf, it will be supported by high-visibility merchandising and in-store activations.

For the first time, the designer collaboration will also be available in six 50ml mini bottles. Disaronno said the packaged 3-packs of minis, available in two versions, were an ideal impulse purchase gift item and “a natural for positioning on shelf or at the cash till point”.

Illva Saronno Chief Executive Officer Augusto Reina said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Roberto Cavalli for our third Disaronno limited edition. To include Cavalli in the list of our collaborations is a real honour and a truly special moment in the history of our brand.”

Roberto Cavalli CEO Renato Semerari added: “We are excited to join Illva Saronno in this initiative. Two of the most well-known brands of the “˜Made in Italy’ [denomination] getting together is always worth celebrating.”

Illva Saronno Global Travel Retail Director Martin Howey added: “We are very pleased to be exhibiting at Cannes for the second time this year where we will have the opportunity to display the new Roberto Cavalli limited-edition bottle as part of the overall Illva Saronno. The previous two versions – Moschino and Versace – have been extremely successful in travel retail and we are confident that the incredible new version will be equally well received.”

The Disaronno Icon project supports the “˜Fashion 4 Development’ charity, sponsored by the United Nations. Disaronno will donate part of the proceeds to the development of this project in Africa.

To toast this collaboration Disaronno US Director of Brand Ambassadors Paul Sevigny, and Disaronno UK Brand Ambassador Rod Eslamieh joined forces to craft the ‘Disaronno Wears Cavalli Sour’, a twist on the Disaronno Sour, blending Disaronno with lemon juice, sugar syrup, prosecco and dashes of angostura bitters.
