‘World’s most expensive vodka’: Royal Dragon unveils US$5.5 million diamond bottle

Royal Dragon Vodka is set to reveal what it claims is the world’s most expensive vodka, valued at a staggering US$5.5 million.

The vodka, called The Eye of the Dragon, took over eight months to develop in partnership with Scarselli Diamonds New York.

The six-litre hand-blown bottle is filled with ultra-premium Royal Dragon Imperial vodka, encased in 2kg of 18 carat gold and features a 50 carat (GIA certified) round yellow diamond. The rare yellow diamond is alone worth more than US$4.6 million.

The bottle also includes 15,000 diamonds encrusted on the bottle and 620 carats of real diamonds.

To kick off the upcoming Lunar New year celebrations, Royal Dragon Chairman Michel Morren said he is planning an official reveal of the bottle on 16 February. The event will be live-streamed online from a secret location.

Royal Dragon Vodka won Star Product of the Year (under US$100) and Best Global Travel Retail Packaging at last year’s Frontier Awards at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

As reported, King Power Group (HK) Managing Director Travel Retail and Duty Free Sunil Tuli was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Dragon Spirits Limited, the owners of premium brand Royal Dragon Vodka.

In October, Yam Seng Pte, a Singapore company owned by the Tuli family, was appointed agents for the vodka brand in selected duty free markets globally.
