Want to talk about your pet subject?*If you would like to feature (with your pet) in a forthcoming edition of this regular column, please contact Colleen Morgan at Colleen@MoodieDavittReport.com |
The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to bring you the latest edition in our Pet-sonality Profile column, in association with Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
In this regular fun feature, we discover more about travel retail pet-sonalities, their back stories, traits and habits, as well as offering some insights into their owners. Each pet-sonality is also painted digitally by pets and equine artist Sami Moodie.
In this edition we meet JCDecaux* Managing Director India Frédéric Brun and Moka, a young Boston Terrier who stole Frédéric’s heart from a shop window.
Name + nickname: Moka.
Breed: Boston Terrier.
How old is Moka? She’s seven years old.

How did you meet? I met Moka in Mexico. Every day as I was returning home from the office in Mexico City, I would walk past a Maskota pet store. And every day I would see this gorgeous baby Boston Terrier. And then one night, after a nice dinner with clients, I finally said to myself if she’s still there then she comes home with me… and she was.
Was it love at first sight? Oh yes, definitely.

Does Moka have any quirky habits? Moka adores the sun and loves to take a nap when the sun goes down.
Funniest and/or nicest moment? One of Moka’s funniest moments has to be the day she was chasing a small cat. She was so excited that she jumped the railing between us and our neighbours and got stuck there.

She loves to play with other pets, especially her ‘sister’ Oreo, a little Shi Tzu who joined our family two years ago. They are a great pair, almost like yin and yang, in and out of mischief together.
And Moka’s favourite trick and treat? Her tricks invariably involve a ball or toy. And treat? Moka doesn’t have a sweet tooth, but she loves carrots and chicken. Never says no to either.
Social media account? No, not yet. She does, however, have her own album on the iPhone photos app so I guess that could be the start of one.
If Moka could talk what would her first word be? That’s easy. Food.
Favourite airport/airline? Moka is considerably well travelled, having flown with Air France from Mexico to Paris and then on to Bangaluru here in India, when I moved from the JCDecaux office in Mexico City in 2020. It was a long journey for her, but she was a good traveller and would probably rate Air France very highly if she could.

Anything else we should know? Moka loves to look after Oreo. I think she feels like a mother with her. She’s very protective even though Oreo ‘bites’ her to get her to play. Moka was not at all keen on that in the beginning and would try to ignore her… and then come back and ‘bite’ her playfully as well.
They are both great company and definitely much-loved members of our family.
