Pet-sonality Profile with Tito’s Handmade Vodka: Meet Magda Bednarek and Dita

Want to talk about your pet subject?

*If you would like to feature (with your pet) in a forthcoming edition of this regular column, please contact Colleen Morgan at Colleen@MoodieDavittReport.com

The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to bring you the latest edition in our Pet-sonality Profile column, in association with Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

In this regular fun feature, we discover more about travel retail pet-sonalities, their back stories, traits and habits, as well as offering some insights into their owners. Each pet-sonality will also be painted digitally by pets and equine artist Sami Moodie.

In this edition, we meet Baltona* Category Manager Wines, Spirits and Tobacco Magda Bednarek and her playful Miniature Bull Terrier Dita.

Introducing Magda and Dita

Name + nickname: Dita, which is a short version of her official ‘title’, Bullinvictus Afrodite.

Breed: Dita is a Miniature Bull Terrier.

How old is Dita? She celebrated her fifth birthday in May this year.

How did you meet? I met Dita while having coffee with friends, one of whom breeds Miniature Bull Terriers. Dita was sitting on a sofa with other dogs and was already a big girl. She was rather shy but agreed to sit on my knee which surprised my friends who knew she was distrustful of strangers.

I got to know Dita over the course of a few months and when my beloved 16-year-old Bull Terrier Barbie passed away, I adopted her. Dita was four years old.

Love at first sight? That’s a big yes!

Quirky habits: She always steals my shoes and takes them off to her bed to sleep with them. She never bites them; just cuddles up to them.

Funniest and/or nicest moment? Dita is so happy every time I return home after a rather long absence. Her pure joy and love are overwhelming.

Up close and personal with Dita

Favourite trick? And treat? She does not do tricks but is definitely fond of every treat. Dita is a foodie: sweet and savoury, fruit and veggies, meat and cheese, starter, soup, main dishes and dessert. She always wants to eat whatever I am eating, no matter what it is.

Dita also likes to drink from my mug, no matter what is inside, stealing my chamomile tea and even my white wine.

Social media account? No. She is far too busy laying on the couch.

Dita may not be on social media but she’s definitely not camera shy and loves to show off her favourite outfits, especially her Tito’s bandana (below)

If Dita could talk what would be her first words? I love you, Mum.

Favourite airport/airline: Dita is not a flyer, but she loves being in my car, always on the front seat. In fact, she loves any place that we are together.

Anything else we should know? There are too many things to mention here; I can talk about Dita for hours. She joined me at a time of great sorrow after losing Barbie and very quickly brought love and a smile back to my life.

Dita is my reason to come home from work; my best companion for watching series on the couch or digging in the garden. She accompanies me to restaurants, comes with me to the hairdresser and for a manicure. We love our time together.
