Perricone MD celebrates 20th anniversary with new supplement and skincare products

Cosmeceutical brand Perricone MD is celebrating ‘20 years of the three-tier approach to healthy skin’ with the launch of a new supplements collection and skincare range.

The new products were presented to media, including The Moodie Davitt Report, at an event earlier this week at the Institute of Contemporary Arts.

The Whole Food Supplement Collection is a line of single pill dietary supplements powered by whole food nutrients for a healthier body, skin and lifestyle. Each supplement may be taken alone or combined to create a personalised regimen based on each individual’s needs.

Digestion Aid is said to provide a healthier gut and flatter stomach, while Super Skin is claimed to provide smoother, firmer, brighter skin

Perricone MD said the Whole Food Supplement Collection is ideal for someone who wants to begin with the ‘3-Tier Solution’ and improve their general well-being or address specific concerns such as digestion, loss of skin firmness, etc.

The ingredients in each of the supplements have been selected to deliver maximum benefits in line with the Perricone MD anti-inflammatory diet. All supplements are Non-GMO, gluten-free, contain no artificial colours and preservatives and are suitable for vegetarians.

The supplements’ antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients are derived from whole foods and chosen according to three guiding principles: Anti-inflammatory, efficacy and bio-availability.

The product assortment comprises:

Digestion Aid (£45/€59*) – said to help reduce bloating for a flatter stomach and improve digestion by breaking down gluten and milk proteins (60 capsules, 30 days).

Super Skin (£45/€59) – helps counteract UV damage, boost collagen and reduce the appearance of wrinkles (30 capsules, 30 days).

Travel Aid (£25/€32) – helps support immune health and improve circulation during prolonged periods of sitting (ten capsules, two trips).

Super Greens (£58/€76) – claimed to help support overall well-being and protect against oxidative stress (30 packets).

Travel Aid contains two types of mushrooms and lychee fruit extract; Super Greens is formulated with spirulina, spinach, chlorella and broccoli

New Cold Plasma + Face Advanced Serum Concentrate is an update of Perricone MD’s best-selling cult classic. The new serum, powered by patented Perricone MD science, is now scent-free and said to address individual skin concerns such as fine lines, enlarged pores and uneven skin tone.

Cold Plasma + Face is formulated with copper tripeptide, Vitamin C ester, omega 3, 6 and 9 and myrtle flower extract.

According to a clinical study conducted by Perricone MD, after 28 days’ use 70% of women showed a significant improvement in skin firmness/tightness and 100% showed a significant improvement in lines and wrinkles.

Cold Plasma + Face should be applied liberally morning and evening on cleansed skin before moisturiser.

Perricone MD’s cult favourite gets an update: Cold Plasma + Face is described as “one jar that does it all”; Cold Plasma + Eye is a complementary product

The product will launch inflight with British Airways, in UK retail and on PerriconeMD.co.uk in January.

Speaking to The Moodie Davitt Report at the launch event, Perricone MD Head of Sales, UK and Europe Joanna Vernon said that the company is on track to end this year with over +30% growth. “We have witnessed multi-channel growth, coming from inflight, our digital side and also our distributors in Europe.”

“We are trying to get our products listed on more airlines because we are seeing some really good success,” noted Vernon.

Vernon added that Perricone MD is having “major success” on low cost airline Jet2 with its No Foundation and No Lipstick, from the No Make-Up range. The brand’s Hydrating Cloud Cream has been added to Jet2’s product offer this month, which Vernon said she is “very excited” about.

“We have witnessed multi-channel growth, coming from inflight, our digital side and also our distributors in Europe”

Perricone MD is also aiming to get its No Make-Up Instant Blur Compact listed inflight. “The product is great for travel as it can be used as a touch-up during or after the flight. If you have any oiliness on the skin it acts as a mattifier and is good as a primer,” explained Vernon.

Vernon noted the appeal that the new Travel Aid supplement has for the inflight channel. “You take two to three supplements a day before you fly then two the day of your flight. It helps prevent jet lag and improve circulation. We think it will be amazing for travel retail, the packaging is compact and it even has an airplane on it.”
