ParkVia secures online parking contract for all IAG airlines

UK. European airport parking specialist ParkVia has won a competitive tender to secure the role of online parking provider for one of the world’s largest airline groups, IAG (International Airlines Group), owner of British Airways.

In a phased roll-out, the primary IAG project launch is to design and manage a dedicated micro website for a British Airways parking platform.

ParkCloud CEO Mark Pegler described the new contract win as a “a red letter day” for ParkVia

It will allow the UK flag carrier’s customers to search, browse and book parking across 148 UK and global destinations, including airport parking, valet parking and airport hotels with parking.

Operating from its home base at London Heathrow, British Airways flies 123,000 daily passengers to more than 200 destinations in 75 countries.

The next phase in the new contract will see ParkVia develop micro-sites for each of IAG’s other international airlines, which include Aer Lingus and Iberia, flag carriers of Ireland and Spain respectively.

ParkVia’s global car park coverage spans 43 countries and includes more than 2,000 car parks

ParkVia Managing Director Mark Pegler said: “This is a red letter day for ParkVia: to become a preferred supplier to a globally renowned airline group, which encompasses your own country’s flag-carrying airline, is quite an achievement.

“As an established and recognised supplier to the aviation industry, collaborating with in excess of 22 airlines, ParkVia is well positioned to deliver a seamless service that complements the travel experience customers already enjoy with IAG’s impressive portfolio of leading airlines.”

Earlier this year, ParkVia was awarded its second Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade (under its former brand name, ParkCloud).
