Kering Eyewear adds Chloé and Dunhill to Blue & Beyond Project range

Market response to the Blue & Beyond range has been positive since its launch in 2021, the company said

Kering Eyewear has expanded its Blue & Beyond Project offer to include Chloé and Dunhill eyewear. Blue & Beyond is an assortment of blue light and photochromic UV protection glasses.

As reported, the line’s smart lenses feature blue light-filtering treatment and photochromic technology which reduce the impact of high-energy bulbs from laptops and digital devices and protect eyes from sunlight exposure.

The double-benefit lenses were designed to improve visual comfort both indoors and outdoors.

According to Kering, the Blue & Beyond Project has been performing well in the global market since its launch in May 2021. This led to the company’s decision to integrate Chloé and Dunhill to its clear-to-dark lenses portfolio and develop new colour options for existing brands in the collection.

Blue and Beyond’s original assortment includes popular frames from Gucci, Saint Laurent and Montblanc.

Gucci’s Blue & Beyond selection includes men’s and women’s sunglasses in metal and acetate frames. The photochromic lenses change from clear to burgundy for the feminine style and change from clear to brown for the masculine sunglasses. The women’s sunglasses feature a cat-eye silhouette, while the men’s design was crafted with a rectangular silhouette.

Double-benefit lenses protect the user from blue light indoors and UV light outdoors by turning from clear to dark when exposed to sunlight. Pictured above are the Blue & Beyond sunglasses from Gucci.

Saint Laurent’s Blue & Beyond styles come in modern metal and acetate frames. They come in cat-eye, square and heart-shaped silhouettes for women and classic silhouettes for men. The lenses go from clear-to-grey in line with the fashion house’s key colours.

Montblanc’s Blue & Beyond collection comprises masculine styles made with different lightweight materials. The classic rim structure highlights Montblanc’s aesthetic with smart lenses changing from clear to blue.

The new Chloé Blue & Beyond range includes only feminine styles. They feature soft gradient colours in delicate gold and metal finishes in lightweight bio-acetate frames. The sunglasses are characterised by waved-temples and geometric metal shapes, which reflect Chloe’s own signature design details.

The Dunhill Blue & Beyond sunglasses combine clear to grey lenses with acetate and clear to warm brown lenses with metal frames. The masculine styles were inspired by the Engine Turn pattern and Rollagas Code which are key motifs of the Dunhill brand.
