Jordan’s Amman Queen Alia International Airport to launch food & beverage tender

FINLAND/JORDAN. Amman Queen Alia International Airport is to launch a tender for the operation of food & beverage outlets later this year.

Deema Anani, who is Commercial Director of the Jordan airport, made the announcement this morning (21 June) during a conference session at the 2018 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards. The event is taking place in Helsinki, Finland and is being hosted by Finavia.

Commercial Director Deema Anani announced the tender at FAB 2018.

The tender will likely launch in October or November, Anani said, and a master concessionaire is being sought.

Anani noted that Amman Queen Alia International is emphasising innovation and Sense of Place in the tender. “We have the vision already and want to work with a partner to help us achieve it,” she told delegates.

“We want a master concessionaire because we have tried other models in the past and they have not really worked. We want one partner to create Sense of Place.”
