GERMANY. Henkell is showcasing its portfolio of sparkling wines with a tasting bar at Berlin Brandenburg Airport Terminal 2.
The bar, launched in partnership with retailer Gebr. Heinemann, is running in June and July and is open everyday from 930am to 6pm. Travellers can sample the Henkell Trocken, Henkell Rosé and Henkell Brut Vintage expressions.
The Henkell Tasting Bar is located at the cash counter of the Heinemann Duty Free and Travel Value Shop. At the pop-up, shoppers can receive a Henkell Trocken Piccolo bottle as a free gift with purchase while stocks last.
Henkell is one half of the German-Spanish alliance Henkell Freixenet, one of the world’s biggest sparkling wine producers. Its portfolio includes the Henkell, Freixenet, Mionetto, I heart Wines and Mangaroca Batida de Côco brands.

As reported, Henkell Freixenet revealed annual results for 2021 earlier this year, with sales rising +11% to €1,326 million across its sparkling wine, wine and spirits business.
The Moodie Davitt Report President & Editorial Director Dermot Davitt spoke with Henkell Freixenet CEO Dr. Andreas Brokemper, who discussed the leading sparkling wine company’s resilience amid crisis, diversification in the travel retail offer and evolving consumer tastes.
