Dallas Fort Worth International Airport CEO Sean Donohue joins stellar Summit of the Americas speaker line-up

Sean Donohue: Strong consumer and commercial focus

AMERICAS. Sean Donohue, Chief Executive Officer at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport, is the latest senior industry figure confirmed to speak at the Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience, which takes place on 5-9 April.

The announcement of Donohue as the latest high-profile airport speaker comes as the Knowledge Hub agenda for the Summit is published. It can be viewed on the event website here.

As reported, the all-digital Summit of the Americas is being organised by the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) and Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report (which organised the successful Virtual Travel Retail Expo from 12-16 October).

Dallas Fort Worth, where Donohue has been CEO since 2013, is one of the largest airports in North America and among the most progressive in its commercial thinking.

In his role, Donohue is responsible for the management, operation and strategic planning of the airport. Centred between owner cities Dallas and Fort Worth, DFW Airport connects the North Texas region with non-stop service to over 200 destinations on five continents and is consistently ranked among the best large airports for customer service.

Donohue joined the airport after a 28-year career in the airline industry in various executive roles with Virgin Australia Airlines and United Airlines.

A powerful line-up of speakers in the Knowledge Hub will complement the high-quality engagement opportunities offered by the Exhibition Hub at the virtual event

Other airport leaders to speak will include JFKIAT (JFK T4) President & CEO Roel Huinink and Corporación América Airports CEO Martín Eurnekian.

Views on the shape and rhythm of recovery in the Americas market will be a central focus of the Knowledge Hub sessions. Themes to be explored include the reshaping of the airport experience, changing consumer demand, digitalisation, the business model, alongside sessions that analyse travel prospects for the region and on the economic outlook. The event will also host the DFNI Americas Awards, as well as a Sustainability Session led by TRBusiness.
