UAE. Amid the continuing pandemic every airport store and restaurant reopening is a moment to be welcomed. Our latest selection of images comes from Dubai International (DXB) and features the joy of a return to business for Lebanese food concept Comptoir Libanais.
The restaurant – a partnership with food & beverage concessionaire HMSHost and only the company’s third airport operation – opened in December 2019, just before the crisis hit, and has been shuttered for nearly two years.
Founder Tony Kitous said on LinkedIn: “So excited. Finally we are reopening in Dubai Airport after almost two years of closure and uncertainty due to the pandemic. A huge thank you to all our Dubai team and everyone at HMSHost, our amazing partner, for working so hard to make this opening.”

The images on this page show Tony Kitous with Dubai Airports Executive Vice President Commercial Eugene Barry and HMSHost International CEO Walter Seib, along with their teams.
