UAE. Lebanese food concept Comptoir Libanais has opened a new restaurant at DXB (Dubai International) Terminal 3 in partnership with food & beverage concessionaire HMSHost.

The DXB restaurant is the company’s third airport operation, following Gatwick and Heathrow airports in London.

Comptoir Libanais is owned by founder Tony Kitous, who established the business 32 years ago.

“I strongly believe the food of the Middle East is the best in the world” – Tony Kitous

He now runs 23 restaurants under the name across the UK and one in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

His philosophy towards running a restaurant is outlined on the Comptoir Libanais website: “My main focus with creating a restaurant was to ensure the guests fall in love with the Middle East and its bold flavours and generous hospitality.

“My dream is still to make Lebanese food as popular as Italian food because I strongly believe the food of the Middle East is the best in the world, and that is what we serve in Comptoir Libanais every day to our guests.”

The company also organises the annual Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards. FAB 2020 will be held in Istanbul on 23 and 24 June. Istanbul Airport will host the event, which will be a celebration not only of the best in international airport dining but also of Turkish cuisine and culture. FAB 2020 will be supported strongly by Tum & Ictur, the concessionaire managing 34,000sq m of food & beverage space at Istanbul Airport.
