Travel bag specialist CabinZero has collaborated with London’s Victoria and Albert (V&A) museum to develop its latest Classic Remix Collection.
CabinZero said the limited-edition range offers four innovative all-weather styles in various sizes, with designs inspired by prints from the V&A archives. The collection will be featured at this month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition (Basement 2 F23).

The Azar range is exclusive to travel retail. It features a design inspired by an Iranian textile, which dates from the mid-19th century, with orange flaming lotus flowers entwined with indigo stems and leaves, on a vintage sand background.
The Paisley line took inspiration from the work of textile designer George Haité (1825-71). Originally designed for a Victorian shawl, the pattern has been reimagined with linen white, rich red, deep blue and jade green on a burgundy background.

Night Floral features a white trailing bloom print on a black background, with tones of olive, khaki green and highlights of chartreuse and soft pink. The design was inspired by an album of textiles by William Kilburn (1745-1818).
Spitalfields, which was inspired by the designs of Huguenot silk weaver, James Leman (1688-1745), presents a hand-painted floral watercolour print, in burgundy tones on a cream background.

The bags’ features vary depending on size but include all-weather protection, hide-away straps, trolley slip, thicker padding on the back and straps, sternum straps, bottle/umbrella pockets and laptop compartments.
CabinZero will also present prototypes of its new free-standing display units at the Singapore event.
CabinZero Founder and CEO Neil Varden said: “This ultra-cool collaboration with the V&A in London adds some beautiful archival prints to our collection and my favourite of those, the Azar, has been made a travel retail exclusive.

As reported, CabinZero recently made several appointments as it targets expansion in airport and inflight travel retail.
“We now have dedicated staff working on developing travel retail, not least in Asia Pacific, and we expect huge growth in the channel over the course of the next two years,” Varden added.
