Light luggage and accessories specialist CabinZero has made several appointments as it targets expansion in airport and inflight travel retail.
Dan Burman is named Commercial Director of parent company TNG Europe, with a remit to build CabinZero’s sales and distribution network, including travel retail. Burman’s experience includes nearly three years with Hedgren as Sales Director APAC and Director of Product and Marketing with Pacsafe.
CabinZero has appointed Norway-based LL International Managing Director Ailing Seah-Langeland as a consultant to develop inflight business in all regions except the USA.
CabinZero CEO Neil Varden noted that Seah-Langeland secured a listing for the brand’s Black Adv Dry 30 L waterproof/all weather backpack in Etihad Airway’s May-August 2019 programme. CabinZero products have also been listed with Nokscoot and Jetstar Asia while confirmation of further inflight and pre-order business with another Asian airline is expected shortly.
“We see Asia Pacific as a big growth opportunity for CabinZero both on the ground and inflight,” Varden said.
The company has opened a US subsidiary, CabinZero USA, to develop domestic and travel retail business in the Americas. The unit is headed by President Andrew Hamilton (formerly Antler Luggage President Americas) and General Manager Adela Castaneda. New listings are in the pipeline, CabinZero said.
“Our goal is to expand our travel retail points of sale across the globe,” Varden said, adding that new products would give the brand greater traction and increase store placements.
“We know the importance of attracting and engaging with travellers so the new units have been designed with a strong ‘wow’ factor,” he said.
CabinZero will highlight new lines at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition (Basement 2 F23).
