A new chapter in a compelling journey: The Moodie Davitt Report is moving home

UK/INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report parent company Moodie International Ltd, one of the UK’s most successful multi-media business-to-business publishers and information providers, is moving to new offices on Friday 17 August.

The move to larger premises reflects the company’s ambitious expansion plans, including a number of senior hirings and the launch of new products in coming months.

Onwards and upwards: The Moodie Davitt Report is taking a short hop from its current home to new headquarters in the Great West House complex in West London.

Recent innovations include a relaunch of The Moodie Davitt e-Zine – ‘Travel Retail’s Lookbook’ – pioneering a new way of looking at the travel retail industry on an easy-to-read and powerful digital platform.

Moodie Insights, a new joint venture company formed at the beginning of 2018, is the latest addition to the Moodie Davitt family. It aims to bring a greater level of insight and informed decision-making to commercial leaders within the global travel retail and food & beverage sectors.

In events, The Moodie Davitt Report’s growing Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards was recently held in Helsinki, while the airport commercial revenue sector’s most acclaimed conference, The Trinity Forum, is to take place in Shanghai, China, at the end of October.  As reported, the company has hired Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) Executive Officer Michael Barrett as Events and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director, effective 20 August.

Another key appointment sees Irene Revilla, former Global Head of Client Services (London) for WPP-owned Aviator/Kinetic, assume the new role of Publisher, effective 17 August. In addition former SHOP Magazine/GlobalBlue.com Features Editor Hannah Lewis joins as Managing Editor, effective 20 August.

“We are embarking on a period of fresh investment and expansion across our digital media footprint, enhancing our print offer, boosting our events, launching a data analytics business and much else besides,” said The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.

“In particular, I believe that our new e-Zine redefines travel retail publishing in the same way that our original pdf did way back in September 2002. The visual impact of the full-screen treatment combined with the ability to integrate audio and video and dynamic advertising is a game-changer for us, and we hope for the industry. And we’ve only just started to realise its power of possibility.”

The company’s new headquarters are within the Great West House complex in Brentford, West London, on the famous ‘Golden Mile’ stretch of the Great West Road.

The Golden Mile was renowned for its concentration of industry and sprawling factories during its heyday in the 1930s to 1950s, and still features many examples of Art Deco architecture. As well as the Great West House, which also houses Allianz Insurance, the stretch is currently home to GlaxoSmithKline’s global headquarters, JCDecaux UK’s head office, and Sky offices.

Effective as of Friday 17 August, the new address will be:
