‘You’re so Beautiful’ – BTS boy band unveils latest Lotte Duty Free music video

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free today unveiled the BTS boy band’s version of the retailer’s popular music video ‘You’re so Beautiful’.

The launch, at 2pm Korean time, is the latest in a series of Lotte Duty Free videos launched in 2012 that has generated around 50 million views. Such an enormous audience has given Lotte Duty Free a unique position in the field of branded music videos, the company noted.

BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a red-hot Korean boy band, which made its debut in June 2013. The group has been Lotte Duty Free faces since November 2017.

The new video is set against a background of Coex and Jamsil in Seoul, both homes to Lotte Duty Free stores. It also promotes the tourist attractions of the popular Gangnam area. The teaser video of today’s launch, which was released via Lotte Duty Free’s online channel on 3 March, exceeded 2.66 million views in one week.

In previous years, Lotte Duty Free brand representatives including Lee Min Ho, EXO, Twice, 2PM, Super Junior, Hwang Chiyeol and NCT have participated in company music videos, generating massive audiences in South Korea, China, Japan and Southeast Asia.

The video is available on the home page of Lotte Duty Free, and on the retailer’s YouTube and Facebook pages. It provides not only Korean but also English, Chinese and Japanese subtitles.

“Lotte Duty Free is actively utilising the Korean Wave [hallyu] star model to contribute to the revitalisation of domestic tourism by producing music videos, web dramas and sightseeing promotional videos,” said Lotte Duty Free Head of Marketing Kim Bo-joon. “We will continue to strengthen the global image of Lotte Duty Free through various boy bands.”

At the end of April Lotte Duty Free will release a follow-up video by popular actor Lee Jong-seok.
