World’s first Moët Hennessy boutique opens at Paris Charles de Gaulle

A world first at Paris CDG: Les Caves Particulières

FRANCE. Aéroports de Paris, LS travel retail and Moët Hennessy have opened the world’s first Moët Hennessy store, named Les Caves Particulières, at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2E.

It is described by the partners as “a sensory and taste exploration in a unique place, symbolising French excellence”. They added: “Aéroports de Paris, LS travel retail and Moët Hennessy have come together to create a refined space where passengers may discover the very best that French wines & spirits luxury has to offer.”

The store combines ranges from Hennessy Cognac and Champagne houses including Dom Pérignon, Krug, Ruinart, Moët et Chandon and Veuve Clicquot.

Moët Hennessy said it created the concept “to allow the depth and richness of its heritage to take flight”.

For Aéroports de Paris, the opening of this new store “shows the attractiveness of Parisian airports. Now great houses no longer hesitate in opening up exclusive concepts at Paris Charles de Gaulle”.

LS travel retail noted that “this Trinity partnership [is] recognition of its expertise, ability to innovate and high quality of operational execution”.

Moët Hennessy CEO Christophe Navarre said: “This space is a showcase for our Maisons and their centuries-old expertise. Various expressions of French ‘art de vivre’ have come together for the first time in one boutique.”

Moët Hennessy said it was sharing a taste of French culture through a selection of emblematic bottles, some of which are available exclusively in travel retail in this new boutique. Among them are:

The Moët Hennessy store showcases lines from leading Champagne and Cognac houses

Moët Hennessy Managing Director Global Travel Retail Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume said the outlet was more than a boutique. She said: “This is an incomparable setting offering an exclusive selection of French treasures and tailor-made services. Never again will travellers leave Paris without bringing along a taste of French excellence in the form of our Hennessy Cognac and Champagne houses.”

The partners said in a statement: “The design of this exceptional venue – a blend of luxury, creativity, authenticity and expertise – is the work of Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Visitors experience the boutique with all five senses: sight, by way of the majestic interior design playing on light and translucence. Scent, through an exclusive fragrance creation by Thierry Wasser, master perfumer of the Guerlain Maison. Feel, with exquisite materials evoking the traditions and sensations of wine cellars. Sound, by way of a unique aural environment for each brand. And taste, with a sample of exceptional vintages.”
