World Duty Free and Jacob’s Creek host tennis-themed pop-up at Gatwick

World Duty Free and Jacob’s Creek are hosting a tennis-themed pop-up activation at London Gatwick Airport South Terminal. It marks Jacob’s Creek sponsorship of this year’s Wimbledon tournament.

Today (24 June), brand ambassador and winemaker Rebekah Richardson will appear in the store to host a sampling session and share her knowledge of the travel retail exclusive Jacob’s Creek Winemaker’s Reserve range. She will also talk about Jacob’s Creek position as the official wine of Wimbledon and discuss the brand’s “˜Made True’ campaign. She will be available to sign bottles as gifts for travellers.

The pop-up store is timed to coincide with Jacob’s Creek’s support of Wimbledon

Visitors also have the opportunity to win Wimbledon Centre Court tickets if they can guess the number of balls inside a giant bottle of Jacob’s Creek.

Richardson said: “We are always looking to try new things and this is why we are so passionate about bringing Jacob’s Creek from the vineyard to the courtside at Wimbledon. Just like Jacob’s Creek wines, Wimbledon stands for tradition and heritage, as well as for remaining exciting throughout the generations. I am so excited to be part of the Jacob’s Creek tennis pop up.”

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe Brand Manager Libby Wilding said: “The thrill and excitement of Wimbledon is celebrated around the globe and we are therefore delighted to be extending this exciting Jacob’s Creek experience to travellers. Rebekah Richardson’s guest appearance at Gatwick allows us to meaningfully engage with tennis fans as well as wine enthusiasts to begin their Wimbledon experience in travel retail.”

Jacob’s Creek Winemaker’s Reserve range consists of a selection of wines including: Jacob’s Creek Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2014, Jacob’s Creek Barossa Shiraz 2013 and Jacob’s Creek Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2012. The Jacob’s Creek Winemaker’s Reserve range is available in the Jacob’s Creek tennis pop-up for £9.99 per bottle.
