‘Wish Big’: Lancôme marks Year of the Pig with Bangkok King Power Rangnam pop-up

Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific is celebrating the Year of the Pig with a ‘Wish Big’ pop-up at Bangkok King Power Rangnam.

The ‘Lancôme Château’ follows the success of last year’s extraordinary multi-sensory pop-up concept at the same downtown landmark, and will be open until 10 March.

Happy New Year: Lancôme adds its touch to celebrations at Bangkok King Power Rangnam.

The pop-up features a striking LED installation which extends to the atrium ceiling and is surrounded by floating lanterns to symbolise wishes rising into the sky. The wonderland-inspired design is integrated with the entire retail space as Lancôme takes over the Rangnam atrium.

Touchpoints and the six metre-high structure are branded with Lancôme’s signature Parisian rouge colour. The space includes a ‘boomerang photobooth’ that allows visitors to interact virtually with Lancôme products. All photos and videos can be downloaded so travellers can share their experiences on social media.

Another large installation displays a Parisian cityscape which doubles as an interactive game, giving customers the chance to ‘catch’ floating Lancôme products on‑screen and exchange them for prizes in-store.

King Power Group Senior Executive Vice President Susan Whelan said: “King Power aims to elevate the experience of duty free shopping through the careful curation of our retail offerings.

“Particularly during this holiday season when more people will be travelling, we want to make our customers feel right at home here with us. We are excited for our visitors to experience the festive programmes and activities we have lined up to celebrate Chinese New Year together.”

Retailtainment at its best: Customers are encouraged to interact and engage with the pop-up staff.

Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific General Manager Tao Zhang commented: “This year’s pop-up is specially designed to deliver an unforgettable brand experience to our visitors. We are committed to bringing greater happiness to each and every one of our customers, and we hope that their experience with Lancôme here will create more happy moments and happy memories for a wonderful start to the year ahead.”

To mark the Year of the Pig, Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific has released a limited edition design for its bestselling L’Absolu Rouge in shade #178, as well as for the Advanced Génifique Serum.

The pop-up also offers travellers a range of GWPs, all styled to reflect the flying pig that Lancôme has chosen as its symbol for the New Year. An engraving service is available with selected purchases at the store.
