Victorinox to highlight multi-category credentials with new product releases at Cannes

Victorinox will use the TFWA World Exhibition 2018 to highlight its multi-category credentials. The “Original Maker of the Swiss Army Knife” will showcase a strengthened product portfolio across travel gear, fragrances and watches (Bay Village, 17B).

Victorinox Head of Travel Retail Thomas Bodenmann said: “As we continue to build awareness for Victorinox as a multi-category brand in the travel retail channel, it is important that we continue to broaden and differentiate our product offer. These new innovations embody all the qualities for which Victorinox stands – functionality, quality and iconic design.”

Werks Traveler 6.0 is a new luggage range. It comprises two carry-ons as well as medium, large and extra-large suitcases, all available in both hard and soft side in three colours: black, blue and grey.

The range has various special features including a padded laptop sleeve, an integrated USB port and a multi-tool with SIM card replacement tool, ID tag and pen.

Werks Traveler 6.0 luggage is made using a new fabrication that offers the benefits of hard luggage but is lightweight and flexible, said the brand.

Victorinox Swiss Army Steel For Men fragranceFragrances

Swiss Army Steel For Men is the latest male fragrance launch from Victorinox, joining seven already on the market. The scent is 100% Swiss-made.

Notes include viola, lavender, lichen and cedarwood. Perfumer Christophe Raynaud of Firmenich created the scent, which the brand describes as “an aquatic, deep fresh fragrance”.

Steel comes in a square flacon in a gradating blue that reflects “the combination of clear blue water and metal”, culminating in a metallic grey cap. The flacon also features the Victorinox logo, rendered in steel refined at its knife factory in Switzerland.

The I.N.O.X Mechanical, launched at Baselworld in March, is the first fully mechanical addition to the I.N.O.X range.

Similar in appearance to the original 2014 I.N.O.X, a transparent back case reveals the distinguishing movement. Another update is that the bezel has been coated to increase durability.

Victorinox describes the I.N.O.X range as the “pillar” of the brand’s watches offering and stated that the new addition was the result of significant consumer demand.
