Unlimited adventure: Interparfums launches Montblanc Explorer fragrance for men

Interparfums has released Montblanc Explorer, a fragrance for men, in global travel retail.

Montblanc Explorer follows the brand’s Legend and Emblem eau de parfums. It pays tribute to exploration; a theme which Montblanc said it is closely linked to.

Interparfums introduces Explorer by Montblanc: A new fragrance for men.

Interparfums said the brand has been a “favourite among keen travellers for the past century”, thanks to its fountain pens. The new fragrance “takes pride of place as a new, exceptional accessory” alongside Montblanc’s writing instruments.

Montblanc Explorer comes in 50 and 100ml sizes, with respective travel retail RRPs of €50 and €66. It is the work of three Givaudan Perfumers: Jordi Fernandez, Antoine Maisondieu and Olivier Pescheux. They have combined bergamot from Italy, with vetvier from Haiti and patchouli from Indonesia to offer an “unconventional woody, aromatic leather fragrance”.

Montblanc Explorer is presented in a thick glass bottle which the brand said evokes the earth’s two hemispheres. Montblanc’s emblem, the star which represents the six glaciers of Europe’s highest mountain, is at the bottom.

The bottle also features a leather-like protective sheath and a gun barrel-coloured, weighty cap, which is designed after the safety nut found on vintage cars. The fragrance is presented in a grey box, with the Saffiano motif, which has featured on Montblanc creations since 1926, and the brand’s logo.
