Treasury Wine Estates has launched a travel retail range of wines from Wolf Blass. The “˜Estates of the Barossa’ collection features four Shiraz wines from sub-regions of the Barossa, and is available exclusively at The Nuance Group’s Australian airport stores.
Wines from the Lyndoch, Dorrien, St John’s and MOculta sub-regions have traditionally been blended in Wolf Blass, the company said. The four travel retail exclusives though are each made from a single varietal and vintage, which Wolf Blass Chief Winemaker Chris Hatcher said allowed the producer to highlight the distinct characteristics of each terroir.
Treasury General Manager Global Travel Retail Tom King said: “We know the strongest opportunity for wine category growth is at the luxury end. This gift-boxed range will fulfil travellers’ gifting motivations, whilst providing them with a deeper appreciation and understanding of one of the world’s most iconic wine regions.”
