Three more industry leaders join stellar Trinity Forum line-up

HONG KONG, CHINA. Lagardère Travel Retail Chairman & CEO Dag Rasmussen, McDonald’s Hong Kong CEO Randy Lai and Plaza Premium Group Founder & CEO Song Hoi See have become the latest key industry figures to join a powerful and diverse speaker line-up at The Trinity Forum 2023 as the event returns to China on 25-26 October in Hong Kong SAR.

Two more CEOs from the sector’s most powerful players will be named in coming days.

The Trinity Forum, the industry’s most influential airport commercial revenues event, created by The Moodie Davitt Report in 2003, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

The event is co-organised with Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific and ACI World. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is the host for 2023.

The event’s return to China for the first time since 2018 (when it was held in Shanghai) is particularly timely as Hong Kong’s vital travel and tourism sector rebounds.

As reported, HKIA’s passenger traffic figures in July reached 60% of pre-pandemic levels. With the recovery set to accelerate, HKIA seeks to reinforce the airport’s status as one of the world’s premier international aviation hubs.

The conference programme will revolve around the central theme of collaborating in a consumer-centric, values-driven and innovation-led tomorrow.

The Trinity Forum 2023 kicks off on 25 October with a welcome and update from Airport Authority Hong Kong Chief Executive Officer Fred Lam on the latest developments at HKIA’s Airport City and the extraordinary opportunities in the Greater Bay Area. His presentation will be followed by a special address to be revealed in coming days.

In a powerful follow-up panel themed ‘Meeting consumer needs in the post-COVID landscape’, Airport Authority Hong Kong Executive Director Commercial Cissy Chan and L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific Managing Director Tao Zhang will be joined by Dufry Asia Pacific President and Chief Executive Officer Freda Cheung; Alipay Greater China International Business Chief Executive & General Manager Venetia Lee; and Humphrey Ho, Managing Partner, Americas, Hylink Group.

Dufry Chief Executive Officer Xavier Rossinyol will join The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie in an exclusive conversation and share his views on a fast-evolving travel retail landscape across all channels from duty free to convenience retailing and food & beverage.

What promises to be an enthralling session headlined ‘Tomorrow’s Airports Today’, will feature Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Thabet Musleh; and Kansai Airports Corporate EVP, CCO Non Aeronautical Stephane Geffroy; with more speakers to be named soon.

In line with The Trinity Forum’s pledge to focus on people, planet and principles, SSP Group Head of Sustainability Verity Lawson will lead a key session alongside other speakers to be revealed soon.
