The ‘Travel Experience Revolution’ begins as Dufry announces new Global Executive Committee

INTERNATIONAL. Dufry today announced its new organisational structure formed through the setting up of a joint company with Autogrill to drive what the new-look group called the ‘Travel Experience Revolution’.

The Global Executive Committee (GEC) of the combined Group between Dufry and Autogrill will have the following members, effective today 7 February.

  • Chief Executive Officer: Xavier Rossinyol
  • Chief Financial Officer: Yves Gerster
  • President and CEO Asia Pacific (APAC): Freda Cheung
  • President and CEO North America (NA): Steve Johnson
  • President and CEO Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) & Interim President and CEO Latin America (LATAM): Luis Marin
  • Group General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer: Pascal Duclos
  • Chief Public Affairs & ESG Officer: Camillo Rossotto
  • Chief Digital & Customer Officer: Vijay Talwar (from 1 March)
  • Chief People & Culture Officer: Katrin Volery

The newly constituted GEC is charged with delivering Dufry’s long-term strategy ‘Destination 2027’ including the full integration between Dufry and Autogrill.

Chief Executive Officer Operations Eugenio Andrades will leave the GEC due to personal reasons. He will continue to play a leading role in the success of the Group upon his return from his current leave of absence.

Dufry thanked departing GEC members for their significant contributions. They are Andrea Belardini, who leaves to pursue new challenges, and Sarah Branquinho, who retires and will keep her role with several global travel-related associations.

Yves Gerster continues in the Chief Financial Officer role he has held since April 2019 while Freda Cheung, formerly EVP/Country GM, Canada & USA, assumes the key post of President and CEO Asia Pacific

Steve Johnson, President & CEO of HMSHost in North America since July 2014, now takes on a groupwide role as President and CEO North America; Luis Marin, Chief Corporate Officer since January 2014 and with Dufry since 2004, is named President and CEO Europe, Middle East and Africa & Interim President and CEO Latin America 
Camillo Rossotto, Director General for Autogrill since late 2018, becomes Chief Public Affairs & ESG Officer. Vijay Talwar will assume the post of Chief Digital & Customer Officer from March. He is currently a Board Member of UK homeware retailer Dunelm,  a previous CEO of Wish in San Francisco and both a Regional CEO and President Digital of powerful omnichannel retailer Foot Locker.
Katrin Volery has been Dufry’s Chief People Officer since 2022. She now becomes Chief People & Culture Officer. Pascal Duclos is named Group General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer.
