“The return on investment will be very good:” Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience explained

AMERICAS. As interest continues to build in the Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience (5-9 April), co-organisers IAADFS, ASUTIL and The Moodie Davitt Report, along with Virtual Stand & Experience Partner FILTR, hosted a webinar to explain the opportunity to exhibitors, visitors and media on Thursday. The video below showcases the user-friendly engagement platform, displays the various exhibitor tiers and details how the experience will take shape.

IAADFS President & CEO Michael Payne said: “We are holding this session to explain to exhibitors to show how the show will work. We are very excited about this event. It is an opportunity to come together to talk about the issues and the new products, and it will be very helpful and impactful.

“I remind everyone that this virtual event is also critical for ASUTIL and IAADFS to continue their advocacy work on behalf of the industry.”

ASUTIL Secretary General José Luis Donagaray said: “This is the first time that you will have participation from all of the Dufry companies in the region, and you as an exhibitor can talk to each of their country managers.

“But it is not only the airports. You can also meet with the Uruguayan border stores, and the many new Brazilian border operators who are increasing their sales a lot recently. It’s the first time for suppliers to have the possibility to talk to such a wide group of operators.

“The return on investment from this event will be very good. I encourage everyone to take part. We also need the support of everyone so we can work with governments to get help for the industry. This is one event that will show the power of the industry in the region.”

The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie and President Dermot Davitt talked about the efficiency and effectiveness of the platform as a communications tool, and about the high-class Knowledge Hub programme that is coming together (for more, click here).

Alex Cook, Co-Owner of FILTR, took visitors on a walk-through journey of the environment (explained in full in the video), outlining the various exhibitor tiers, and the many touchpoints and chances to maximise engagement with visitors.

For exhibitors the April event presents an opportunity to connect with travel retail buyers and management teams from across the Americas in one virtual forum at an accessible price

As reported, for exhibitors there are multiple options to display products, deliver brand and product presentations, offer virtual tours of their facilities and showrooms, and connect with buyers. Event sponsorship options are also available through our team.

The Summit is open to airports and all other landlords from travel-related sectors; retailers, food & beverage operators and other commercial service providers; brands, agents & distributors; media and other relevant parties.

Visitor registration (free to all travel retailers and airport companies) is open at the official event website, which is now live.
