The real stars of 2020: A call to identify the unsung frontline heroes of travel

INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report is set to turn a deserving spotlight on to this year’s unsung frontline stars of the travel retail, aviation and other associated industries. We aim to salute the individuals and teams that have kept travel and related services moving in this desperately difficult year.

Frontline staff in travel have adapted to the conditions of COVID-19 and remain ready to serve. Do you know somebody who deserves recognition?

The year-end edition of The Moodie Davitt eZine will highlight the faces of customer-facing heroes and heroines from travel environments all over the world, who have performed exceptional work in keeping our industry alive and functioning.

“Not only will our feature recognise the great service these groups and individuals provide, but it will also serve as a reminder that the travel industry is alive and well and, as ever, ready to serve and delight” – Martin Moodie

We are requesting group images or individual shots (together with names, job function and organisation) that fit this bill. Those featured individuals and teams can represent airport retailers, cruise or airline staff, food & beverage or other service companies, be brand ambassadors and promotions staff, or work in other travel retail environments.

Has somebody at your airport made an outstanding contribution in keeping travel moving? We want to hear from you!

The Moodie Davitt Report Founder and Chairman Martin Moodie said: “Somehow, against the hugely difficult backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, the travel world has kept moving – there are heroes out there on the frontline that we want to pay tribute to with this special feature in our eZine. Not only will it recognise the great service these groups and individuals provide, but it will also serve as a reminder that the travel industry is alive and well and, as ever, ready to serve and delight.

“This terrible year has taken a heavy toll on our industry, with tens of thousands of people losing their jobs in the travel retail, aviation, cruise and other travel-related industries. We send out our heartfelt support to those people, and all of those who remain in the frontline of travel and tourism. It’s very important we recognise their outstanding contribution and I look forward to receiving entries, all of which we look forward to sharing with our worldwide audience.”

Please email your images and caption information of your unsung heroes to martin@moodiedavittreport.com by the end of this week, Friday 18 December.
