The Nuance Group and CDG Participations join forces to secure major Geneva International Airport fashion contract – 11/08/08

SWITZERLAND. Geneva International Airport (AIG) has selected a newly created partnership between The Nuance Group and French company CDG Participations to operate 540sq m of fashion retailing space, following an open tender.

From April 2009 the partners will jointly operate a 420sq m Fashion & Accessories multi-brand store airside and from November 2009 a 120sq m mono-brand concept, also airside.

AIG Commercial and Finance Director Pierre Germain said: “This new partnership is likely to combine innovation and efficiency based on a strong experience in airport fashion retail of both operators. It perfectly meets our commercial and financial expectations.”

The Nuance Group Managing Director Switzerland Stephan Salvisberg said: “We are pleased to have been selected to shape the new fashion offer at Geneva International Airport. Together with our partner CDG Participations we are perfectly equipped to take this category to a new level.”

CDG Participations CEO Gabriel Zéboulon said: “We are very happy about this decision and our new partnership with Nuance. We believe that such a combined approach should open the path for innovative solutions on some specific international airport markets.”

The award is Nuance’s second major gain in the fashion & accessories sector in recent weeks – both with a French link. As reported, the company recently struck a major commercial partnership with Aéroports de Paristo operate a “˜Fashion and Accessories’ business, covering about 5,000sq m at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports.
