New Jersey-based retail specialist Brand Strategy has previewed a new face mask collection from streetwear brand Sprayground.
The collection will retail for US$20 and will be ready to ship on 25 May.
With the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention recommending the continued use of face masks in public, Brand Strategy notes that face masks could become an essential product in the post-crisis retail landscape.
Sprayground gives the face mask a fashion element. The range offers 15 different graphic designs, made with three washable materials. These include an exterior polyester fabric, an interior cotton fabric and spandex straps.
In a statement the company said, “Although no one knows for sure what the post-covid ‘new normal’ will look like, one thing we do know is that face masks will be part of it. Face masks are not only a functional necessity, they are now becoming a fashion accessory. It appears masks will be worn for the foreseeable future and it is now time to find a mask you like and that will allow you to express yourself.”
