The Moodie Davitt Report unveils Partner Support Programme

The Moodie Davitt Report is introducing a Partner Support Programme in recognition of the pressures faced by its advertising and sponsorship partners amid the COVID-19 crisis.

All new and existing partners (digital or print) will receive additional advertising benefits on top of their original 2020 investments until the crisis is over. Each offer will be curated to the needs and investment levels of the particular partner. Trade associations, whose work is so important in periods of crisis, are being offered complimentary advertising.

“We recognise the pain that many of our partners are experiencing during a time of unprecedented strain on the travel retail sector,” said The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie. “It is a time for increased collaboration and support and it is important that we not only seek it but give it.

“Our acclaimed free information service has never been in greater demand than during this crisis (see panel) with our web traffic reaching unprecedented levels due to our coverage of the COVID-19 outbreak and its impact on the travel retail and aviation communities. We have had tremendous feedback on our service and we vow to take it to a new level going forward.

“For us to maintain our unique subscription-free service we count on the extraordinary level of support that we have had from the industry over the past 18 years. We will double our efforts to recognise and reward that support with a pioneering added value package tailored to these troubled times.”

Note: The Moodie Davitt Report Commercial Team will be in touch with all partners to discuss the Partner Support Package. For any enquiries, please contact Publisher Irene Revilla at Irene@MoodieDavittReport.com or your regular partnership manager.

No time for sleep

The Moodie Davitt Report.com has generated unprecedented traffic levels since we began our coverage of the novel coronavirus outbreak in January.

Since commencing our COVID-19 daily update (refreshed around the clock with the latest developments) on 20 January, ‘the website that never sleeps’ has generated 784,943 page views over 50 days – a +61.6% increase year-on-year for the period.

“They are extraordinary, unprecedented statistics that in their own way underline the extent of this crisis,” said The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.

“Having identified the threat early, we knew that timely but distilled information would be critical. We have endeavoured to combine the latest key medical statistics with appropriate analysis and travel retail-specific information, hopefully always provided with a human touch.

“We’re deeply appreciative of all the positive feedback we have had from the travel retail community and especially the way retailers have reached out to keep us posted with the latest developments. Each has put the welfare of employees and customers first and handled a crisis situation with sympathy and class.

“As business owners wholly committed to the travel retail channel, Dermot Davitt and I relate to the pressures being felt by our sector and we vow to continue doing our best to keep people informed in readiness for the better days that we know lie ahead.”
