The Moodie Davitt Report and tRetail Labs to collaborate on major food & beverage study

INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report has announced a strategic partnership with leading retail technology and analytics company tRetail Labs to develop and publish a Global Airport Food & Beverage Research Study.

Harnessing the data-driven insights and skillset of tRetail Labs, and the voice, reach and industry knowledge of The Moodie Davitt Report, the partners aim to shed new light on the size, scale and key dynamics driving the airport food & beverage industry.

Initial highlights of the first report will be presented at The Airport FAB+Hospitality Conference & Awards in Bangkok on 12-13 September (click here for registration details).

The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt and tRetail Labs CEO & Founder Sushanta Das officially strike the collaboration at TFWA Asia Pacific in Singapore earlier this month

Food & beverage is a critical revenue stream for airports, and a prime driver of consumer satisfaction. The Moodie Davitt Report is the only travel retail title with a dedicated focus on F&B through our online coverage, regular FAB Newsletters and the Airport FAB+ Conference and Awards, extended to include airport lounges and hospitality from 2023.

This global report on the airport F&B market takes our detailed coverage of the channel to a new level, and will contextualise food & beverage data and insight and its place within the wider airport commercial sector.

This joint study will focus on developing a scalable and sustainable report, offering actionable insight for food & beverage stakeholders. The report will cover global and regional airports and F&B players across multiple markets. It will bring to life market data and examine the developing mix of food & beverage concepts and trends.

The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt said: “We are delighted to partner with tRetail Labs for this important study, through which we aim to present a comprehensive view of the global airport food & beverage landscape. As the industry recovers from the impact of the pandemic, gaining a deeper understanding of this exciting channel is critical.”

tRetail Labs CEO & Founder Sushanta Das said: “Together, The Moodie Davitt Report and tRetail Labs are paving the way for strategic decision-making and unlocking new opportunities for success within the dynamic airport food & beverage ecosystem. This collaboration uniquely allows us to harness our cumulative expertise in market analysis and actionable intelligence, enabling us to showcase comprehensive market data, insights and trends that will shape the future of the airport F&B industry.

“I wish to cordially thank The Moodie Davitt Report Research Director Jess Allerton, tRetail Labs Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder Sossina Shenkute and Malt and Salt Hospitality Founder and CEO Akhilesh Bahl for their continuous support in formalising this collaboration.” Malt and Salt Hospitality has an exclusive partnership with tRetail Labs, providing expertise in the F&B sector.

Invitations to key partners to take part in the research study will be issued shortly.
