CHINA. The Moodie Davitt Report and Hainan Hinews Media Co have struck a far-reaching strategic cooperation agreement to boost each other’s coverage of Hainan’s booming offshore duty free sector and the Free Trade Port development, and to jointly develop new projects.
The two parties – each leaders in their respective fields – will cooperate in a ‘win-win’ relationship designed to highlight and accelerate the growth of Hainan’s tourism-related retail industry and to enhance international and Chinese exposure for the island province’s offshore duty free business.

The two organisations will provide unrivalled and immediate coverage of the forthcoming China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) to be held in Haikou on 7-10 May. Additionally, The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie will write a regular column – called Moodie’s Connection – which will be published across Hainan Hinews Media Co’s vast audience through its various social and digital media network platforms.
The two organisations will also partner with global advisory firm KPMG to present a major report on the development of Hainan’s travel retail business within a global context at the Expo. Hainan Hinews Media Co and The Moodie Davitt Report will create regular exchanges, reports and events to help boost the tourism-related business in Hainan.
