INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to The Moodie Davitt e-Zine – Travel Retail’s Lookbook. In this latest issue featuring our spectacular new full-screen platform, we present some of the most vibrant and ambitious travel retail campaigns of an unforgettable northern hemisphere summer.
Our stunning cover highlights the best images from the blockbuster series of promotions – click on the speaker icon in the top right of your screen to turn on the volume and experience it in its full glory.
From extraordinary levels of social media engagement to compellingly immersive experiences, brands and retailers are finding new, exciting ways to snare the attention of today’s travellers. Digital, personal, immersive, engaging, experiential. Those are just some of the buzzwords from this summer’s brightest activations, which have been louder, more innovative and more exciting than ever before.
In our important Airports as Artports series, we explore Sydney Airport’s latest artwork, United Neytions, which is as striking as it is significant. Described as “a conversation piece that captures the wonderful diversity of voices and stories across Australia”, Kamilaroi artist Archie Moore’s work powerfully highlights the richness of Aboriginal cultures.
Our regular Sense of Place column takes us to Glasgow Airport. An annual festival there showcases the best of Scotland through entertainment, product showcases and a special gin event. We examine it in words, pictures and video.
PeriscapeVR is in the spotlight in Travel Retail’s Positive Disruptors, in association with Tito’s Vodka. The technology company sensed a gap in the market for virtual reality experiences at the airport – transforming dwell time into a series of exciting new adventures.
Finally, Dufry Aruba’s Maria Moya is featured in The Front Line (in association with Copper Dog whisky), our regular column championing the best in industry customer service. She enjoys giving her best and works with love and passion in a place she calls paradise.
Please enjoy this edition of the new-look Moodie Davitt e-Zine with our compliments.
