The Estée Lauder Companies makes key leadership appointments for Origins and Bumble and bumble

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has made two leadership appointments for its Origins and Bumble and bumble brands. Amber Garrison has been appointed Global Brand President for Origins while Corey Reese has been promoted to Senior Vice President, General Manager of Bumble and bumble. Both will report directly to ELC Executive Group President  Jane Hertzmark Hudis and join the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Amber Garrison: A champion of diversity and inclusion

In her new role, Garrison will drive Origins’ short-term and long-term strategies to win in key markets around the globe. She will elevate brand equity, expand consumer reach and drive innovation and hero brand strategies in partnership with the Leadership Team.

She is responsible for driving Origins’ mission of ‘combining the best in nature and science’ and leveraging opportunities in the active naturals market.

A champion of diversity and inclusion, Garrison has served as both sponsor and speaker for Open Doors, ELC’s women’s leadership programme.

She is also a mentor for From Every Chair, ELC’s company and leadership development programme for African American employees.

In addition, Garrison is a mentor for Beauty United which helps develop the next generation of beauty leaders. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Native Forward Scholars Fund, a non-profit organisation that empowers native scholars in the US.

She joins Origins from Bumble and bumble where she served as global Brand President. During her tenure, she helped Bumble and bumble achieve consistently impressive sales performances, particularly in the US. Prior to this, she was ELC Vice President Corporate Strategy.

Corey Reese: A key figure in driving ELC’s makeup recovery strategy post-Covid

Reese will build on Bumble and bumble’s momentum, develop brand strategy and collaborate with the Leadership Team to accelerate growth in key consumer segments, channels and markets, said ELC.

He will lead new product development, commercial innovation, focus on hero products and enhance the brand’s digital footprint. He will reinforce brand storytelling, leveraging the brand’s salon equity and inclusive ethos.

Before this promotion, Reese served as ELC Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Business Operations. In this role, he supported MAC Cosmetics, Clinique, Tom Ford Beauty, Smashbox, GlamGlow and Too Faced explore new business opportunities and enhance operational effectiveness.

He was instrumental in driving ELC’s makeup recovery strategy post-Covid. He was also responsible for establishing a clear pathway for brands to represent and engage with the needs of diverse customers, in line with ELC’s commitment to racial equity.

Passionate about mentorship and equality, Reese serves as an Open Door Sponsor. He also previously served as Vice President, Senior Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary, responsible for managing mergers and acquisitions, global corporate subsidiary management and other affairs.
