‘The cherry on the cake’: Blue Storks opens first concept store at Toulouse–Blagnac Airport

Blue Storks – the Belgian fashion and accessories wholesale and retail company specialising in the duty free and travel retail channel – has opened its first concept store at Toulouse–Blagnac Airport.

As reported, Blue Storks launched its first in–house brand, La Boucle, in November. Its store takes the same name.

The La Boucle outlet highlights Blue Storks’ ‘hero’ brands IZIPIZI, Paul Hewitt, Gemini, Pig&Hen, Cluse, La Boucle, Ögon Designs, Komono and McAlson, which offer products ranging from eyewear, jewellery, watches, and smart wallets to down jackets, underwear and belts.

The brands are active on social media and found in leading stores including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Harrods in London and Takashimaya in Singapore.

Blue Storks products are listed on over 130 airlines and in more than 150 airport and cruise line locations.

Blue Storks said its store gives the company “another push” in travel retail. It said its mission – to put the ‘cherry on the cake’ and to offer new, innovative concepts which will surprise travellers – remains unchanged.

“Even if some brands could be seen as niche products, together they create an eye–catching concept that generates a turnover per square metre far higher than the average in an airport,” Blue Storks said in a statement.

The company said it aimed to duplicate the concept in other airports and hoped partners would be attracted by the high productivity offered by each brand.
