Teaology builds travel retail distribution with BERetail at Dresden Airport

Natural, vegan and eco-friendly cosmetics brand Teaology has partnered with BERetail to open a new space at Dresden Airport. Further listings at other German airports are in the pipeline, said the brand owner.

The brand uses Tea Infusion Skincare technology based on the nutrients included in a cup of tea.

Five organic tea infusions feature in a product range which includes best-sellers Hyaluronic Infusion Serum, Black Matcha Micellar Jelly Cleanser, Happy Skin All-in-One Beauty Balm and Tea Glow Exfoliating Lotion.

Teaology products are available throughout Europe and North America, with an annual distribution growth rate of approximately +20%. The brand is represented in travel retail by Travel Retail Experts (TRE) and inflight with Hanse Distribution.

Teaology was founded by former European cosmetics industry professionals, Cecilia Garofano, and her husband Paolo Bevegni, in 2015.

With a focus on harnessing the potent compounds of the Camellia Sinensis tea plant, the couple – in partnership with leading chemists – developed a process which replaced products’ water content with a 100% tea infusion.

Only organic teas are used in Teaology products which are produced in Italy, and are dermatologically and nickel tested to guarantee safety and tolerability on all skin types.

Teaology CEO Paolo Bevegni said: “We are proud of what we have achieved in the domestic markets since the company was founded seven years ago. However, the potential for the Clean Beauty segment in general, and for Teaology in particular, is far away from being exhausted.

“Travel retail is becoming increasingly important in our strategic thinking.”

He underlined the brand’s partnerships with TRE and Hanse Distribution. “Both companies are very experienced in this complex market and their approach to product presentation and customer service are an excellent match for our brand.”
