Taffix nasal spray targets travel retail expansion as health products build channel presence

Taffix, the nasal spray launched in global travel retail earlier this year, is attracting strong interest from retailers and airlines according to brand representative GMAX Travel Retail.

Spray and go: GMAX Travel Retail targets travellers with the Taffix nasal spray

According to GMAX Travel Retail Director Garry Maxwell, airport and inflight listings are pending for the product which he describes as a good fit for the channel.

As reported, Taffix, which is produced by Nasus Pharma, offers personal anti-viral protection against COVID-19 and other viruses.

The powder-based spray aims to shift the PH level in the nose – where most viruses develop – by creating a protective gel lining to help kill viruses. The spray works in 50 seconds and can provide protection for up to five hours.

Maxwell noted that while face masks help prevent infections, they do not offer 100% protection. Taffix can provide an additional layer of protection at a cost of approximately US$0.10 per day.

“In my opinion, Taffix should be in airports and all travel retail outlets for the next 50 years. It is just perfect for travel, providing protection against all forms of airborne viruses, which, unfortunately, will keep coming,” he added.

Maxwell set up GMAX Travel Retail last year after 18 years with Premier Portfolio.
