SWEDEN. Swedavia, operator of ten key airports in Sweden, has announced plans to develop hotels at Stockholm Arlanda and Kiruna airports. The company is inviting potential operators to submit tenders for the opportunity to run the hotels.
At Stockholm Arlanda Airport, a full-service hotel is being planned which will be located close to the terminals. It will include 540 double rooms, conference facilities and a wide range of bars and restaurants in an area covering 39,000sq m.

Kiruna Airport – the northernmost airport in Sweden – will have a new hotel with 180 rooms in two different categories. The facility will house a restaurant and bar area and a work lounge on the hotel’s entrance level.
Swedavia Real Estate CEO Stefan Stenberg said: “Airports are important hubs and excellent locations for hotels. Our two hotels will be situated right next to the terminals, and their location combined with the high quality of the architecture and finish will make them very attractive hotels. We believe they will generate great interest among market operators.”
Both construction projects are scheduled to begin in 2025.
The hotel construction projects are being managed on behalf of Swedavia by global real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield. For more information on the opportunity, email Staffan Dahlen at staffan.dahlen@cushwake.com.
