“Surprise and delight”: Dixons Travel unveils new concept store at London Heathrow

UK. Electrical retailer Dixons Travel has opened a new store at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 3.

The 2,196sq ft store is located in the newly expanded section of the terminal’s departure lounge and features a number of new concepts and digital features, Dixons Travel said.

The product range has been expanded to include premium watches and the store also features a health and beauty category.

Dedicated spaces will demonstrate the latest in home, health and sports smart technology, while the store also features over 50 metres of digital signage around its perimeter. The signage will highlight tailored offers and explain the latest tech benefits, the retailer said.

The new store also features a welcoming area in which passengers can sit and charge their mobile phones as well as an advice and repair section.

The new concept store is open from 5.30am to 10pm seven days a week.

Passengers can also use Dixons Travel’s online reservation and home delivery services.

“We are really excited to be opening this new look store and providing a unique shopping experience designed especially with passengers in mind,” said Dixons Travel Managing Director Heidi Woodhouse.

Heathrow Airport Head of Retail Technology Ben Crowley commented: “As part of a wider plan to revitalise the Terminal 3 experience we have worked with Dixons to create a world leading technology store which will surprise and delight our passengers. Every aspect has been meticulous designed, bringing together cutting-edge design and technology under one roof.”
