Stellar Partners unveils White House Black Market at Baltimore Washington Airport

USA. Airport retailer Stellar Partners has unveiled a new clothing store – White House Black Market – in the new Concourse A/B at Baltimore Washington International Airport. It has been opened in partnership with master developer Fraport USA and Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) partner Morgan Group Ventures (MGV), a Chico’s FAS brand.

The new White House Black Market airport store is one of more than 400 in the chain.

Clothing chain White House Black Market was founded in Baltimore and now has more than 400 locations in North America. The new airport store features ‘on-trend’ fashion pieces for women.

Concept owner Chico’s FAS operates 1,418 stores in the US and Canada. It runs other women’s clothing chains including Soma, TellTale and Chico’s.

Stellar Partners CEO Padraig Drennan said: “Stellar is very excited to launch White House Black Market and its superior shopping experience in the travel retail sector for the first time with Fraport USA and the Maryland Aviation Administration.

“We are passionate about delivering retail experiences that excite travellers and we believe that this store will do that because the White House Black Market customers are aligned with airport passenger demographics.”

Stellar Partners said the White House Black Market brand is “dedicated to making women feel beautiful and confident through their polished collections”.

Baltimore Washington International Airport Executive Director Ricky Smith said that the White House Black Market “is a high quality, premier brand that our passengers will appreciate”.

Fraport USA Senior Vice President of Operations Brett Kelly described Stellar and MGV as “exceptional operators”, adding: “Their partnership is a match made at BWI Marshall and for travellers that means more quality shopping options while they are at the airport.”

As its name suggests, black and white women’s fashion is prominent in the store.

Chico’s FAS Senior Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and International George Nahra said: “Based on the heritage of White House Black Market, Baltimore is a natural choice. Showcasing our merchandise in airports, in addition to other recently launched distribution channels, such as Amazon and cruise ships, is effective in extending the reach of our brands and in acquiring new customers.”
