SSP secures contract for 12 food & beverage units at Brussels South Charleroi Airport

BELGIUM. SSP Group has won a contract to open 12 new food & beverage units at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, Belgium’s second-busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic. All are scheduled to be trading by August 2019.

The units will be located landside and airside, where a third floor has been designed to accommodate new F&B facilities. SSP said that the operators will be a mix of “internationally-renowned” brands and local F&B concepts.

Burger King will be among the new units opened as part of SSP’s contract at the Belgian airport.

Starbucks will be the first unit to open, in December 2018, with Burger King, Panos and Camden Food close behind.

SSP’s Gérard d’Onofrio said that the new units have been planned in close partnership with Brussels South Charleroi Airport.

SSP France and Benelux Managing Director Gérard d’Onofrio said: “We’re very proud to be announcing this great range of new bars and restaurants which has been developed in close partnership with the team at Brussels-Charleroi Airport.”

Brussels South Charleroi Airport Chief Executive Officer Jean-Jacques Cloquet said he was delighted to welcome SSP as a new partner of the airport, adding: “Our innovative new concepts mean we’ll be able to ensure great quality service, and that there will be something of appeal for all our passengers.”
