SSP and Servy combine forces in Order@ technology roll-out

Hospitality platform Servy has partnered with SSP to roll out a contactless order and pay solution – Order@ – to the travel F&B operator’s bars and restaurants across eight countries.

Order@ launched in France this month and plans are underway for the platform to be introduced in Spain and Dubai later in the year. It already operates in SSP outlets across the USA, UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

Servy and SSP have rolled out Order@ technology across eight countries with more in the pipeline

Through this collaboration, Servy noted it has reached a “transaction milestone” of 2 million orders with SSP Group, with Order@.

Servy’s Order@ allows guests to order and pay for purchases quickly and directly through their personal digital device. New technology enables travellers to benefit from quicker service and reduced touchpoints. Guests can open a tab and order at their leisure, simply scanning and paying when they are ready to leave.

According to Servy, Order@ is also helping SSP increase sales, by turning tables faster to improve utilisation and drive flowthrough. It also leads to higher average transaction values by giving the customer control of what they can order and when.

Servy estimates that travellers who settle their bill through Order@ eliminate up to 11 steps of service for the front of house team, allowing servers to reinvest their time with other diners. Order@ also allows operators to “creatively expand beyond their traditional seating footprint to capture orders from guests providing an additional layer of convenience while driving sales”.

SSP is using Order@ technology to enhance not replace service

Servy Chief Experience Officer Jeff Livney said: “Our Order@ solution continues to drive real results for our restaurant partners, and we’re thrilled to be working with partners such as SSP to widen the reach of this technology for the benefit of customers and hospitality outlets around the world.

“Servy’s focus remains squarely on supporting the hospitality industry with innovative tools that will enable them to enhance guest satisfaction and improve operational efficiency and profitability. The growth of our Order@ network will help us to gain greater insights into customer purchasing habits, and our partners will be able to leverage this data to optimise the guest experience.”

SSP Chief Information and Digital Offier Mark Smith commented: “We and Servy both share the belief that technology should enhance service and not replace it.

“Our customers expect great service, and Order@ means that providing this will be even easier, safer, and more efficient. Across our business, we are looking at the ways we can further improve our operations by using cutting edge technology and this is just one of the many ways we are using it to make a visit to one of our bars and restaurants even better.”

This second virtual edition of the awards will again shine the spotlight on the thousands of front-of-house and behind the scenes heroes and heroines who have helped keep the food & beverage community within our industry going throughout the challenges of the last year.

In addition, this year’s awards include an important new category, the FAB ESG Awards, which have been introduced to celebrate, recognise and reward those people and initiatives that have made a positive impact in the areas of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

The FAB ESG & Superstars Awards will be presented on Tuesday 13 September to conclude the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference 2022, which is taking place on 12-13 September during The Moodie Davitt Report Virtual Travel Retail Week.

They will recognise and reward the achievements of travel retail employees across airport, airline, downtown store and cruise sectors, and celebrate the strength of the human spirit, resourcefulness and ingenuity in our industry.
