Spencer Sheen: Moves from a senior role at Gatwick to help drive business development at WHSmith

UK. London Gatwick Airport Head of Retail Spencer Sheen is leaving the company to join WHSmith Travel as Business Development Director, effective from next week. Sheen is replaced at Gatwick by Rachel Bulford, who joins on 3 October. (Ms Bulford will attend The Trinity Forum in Mumbai next week with Chief Commercial Officer Guy Stephenson.)

Sheen has worked at Gatwick for almost five years and played a key role in the commercial transformation of the airport, driving the introduction of many new brands and overseeing a major expansion of the retail and F&B footprint.

He worked previously for Marks & Spencer where he held a number of strategic and operational roles both in the UK and abroad.

Sheen told The Moodie Davitt Report that he was looking forward to “a new challenge”.
