Singapore Airlines begins integration of SilkAir brand and fleet

SilkAir’s fleet will be progressively absorbed by Singapore Airlines from 28 January

SINGAPORE. Regional airline SilkAir today (28 January) began its integration into Singapore Airlines as part of a merger agreed in 2018.

SilkAir covers 40 destinations in the Asia Pacific region and has been operating as Singapore Airlines’ regional arm for 30 years. SilkAir aircraft will be progressively absorbed into the Singapore Airlines fleet and revamped with new livery and upholstered seats.

Omnichannel retailer KrisShop is the official inflight retailer for Singapore Airlines and SilkAir. As reported, KrisShop announced a three-year partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to jointly market home-grown Singaporean brands.
