The new Shu Uemura corner at La Galerie Parisienne |
FRANCE. The L’Oréal Group has revealed further details of its Shu Uemura corner, which opened at the new Paris Charles de Gaulle S3 terminal, known as La Galerie Parisienne, earlier this month.
The area, which covers 16sq m, offers “a full brand experience of the artistic [Shu Uemura] universe”, according to the company. It features a full skincare, make-up and accessories range, in addition to the brand’s unique Tokyo Lash Bar concept.
This offers consumers the opportunity to try on and have customised various styles of false lashes, as part of its Lash Styling service.
The Shu Uemura corner is located close to the entrance of the Beauty Unlimited store (operated by Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire, the joint venture between Aéroports de Paris and Aelia), which itself occupies a prime location directly opposite the passenger flow post-security.
The corner offers travellers a colourful make-up “playground” where they can see and sample products, which are displayed on a huge, well-lit acrylic counter. There is also a “colour theatre”, which highlights new products via a light box and staging area.
Another key element is the skincare consultation area, where travellers can indulge in a Japanese facial.
The Shu Uemura brand brings a deliberately international aspect to La Galerie Parisienne’s beauty portfolio. Aelia Category Manager Perfumes and Cosmetics Béatrice Delorme explained: “We’ve introduced brands such as”¦ Shu Uemura, which represent the best of”¦ Asia Pacific, to which travellers from [that region] will respond.
“There were some who questioned our inclusion of such brands, but they are great, trendy brands and they bring something different to the offer.”
